Wow! Holiday Joy

It's hard for me to describe the joy and excitement that I've witnessed this week as I've been invited into Victorian family homes. Brought together in a virtual village, through the amazing potential of technology, we have indeed imagined, connected and created. I'm not usually a numbers kind of person but these numbers tell a powerful story of connection, creativity, play, imagination and support.

  • 16 workshops run over 2 weeks

  • 72 attendees

  • 48 children from Kinder to Year 10

  • 36 Families supported

  • 1 staff conference supported

  • 11 Stop motion animations made

  • 10 Cardboard creations and marble runs

  • 14 Lego Vehicles made and played

  • 6 batches of bliss balls

  • 10 batches of pizza

  • 8 corn fritter batches (and 2 kids who had previously hated them now asking for the recipe!)

  • 12 smoothie and icy pole mixtures

  • Reams of wrapping paper, gift cards and paper beads made ready to be gifted to loved ones

  • 15 Young brains inspired to explore scientific, environmental and engineering challenges.

  • Hours of learning and growth… and that's for us facilitators! And then there's the young people we had the pleasure of journeying with.

Phew! No wonder I'm tired!

I've been taking a break from the virtual village this week and will be back with great new offerings in the coming weeks.

See you soon in the Virtually There Learning village.
